During back to school time stores tend to lower prices on some back to school items and expect you to do all your shopping at once. Try to only buy the items that are the lowest priced and then come back when the other items may be on sale.
For larger items like back packs or calculators try to look online for discounts as well as for College textbooks. Amazon will often have used textbooks at much cheaper prices.
Check out craft stores. They often sell back to school items and they have coupons upon coupons that you can use!
For clothing and shoe purchases; large discount retailers like T J Maxx, Gordmans and Marshalls sell trendy and designer clothing for less!
Lastly, try not to wait until last minute to avoid limited selection, long lines and panicked purchases.
